About QSI
QSI was established in 2000 and has grown rapidly to become the leading laser diode manufacturer in South Korea. With its headquarters and wafer fab in Cheonan City, South Korea and a high volume packaging facility in Shanghai, QSI is well equipped for both high and low volume manufacturing.
QSI Laser Diodes Range
QSI offers a range of red and IR laser diodes with wavelengths from 635nm to 850nm. Output powers range from 5mW to 50mW for the red laser diodes and up to 450mW is available in IR. In addition to the standard 5.6mm TO can package, QSI offers a number of innovative can packages including D-cut and I-cut for use in confined spaces. The company also recently introduced 3.3mm TO can packaging capability, resulting in a number of new laser diodes having been launched, including 650nm laser diodes at 5mW and 10mW output power.
Applications
QSI is well established in a number of applications including laser printing, bar code scanning, power tools and optical pick-ups. As the company’s range has expanded, newer applications include medical equipment, automotive, defence, and 3D gesture recognition and display.
